We've refined the approach so it cleans just as well as conventional methods.

What we use (and what we don't)

Every product we use on an eco-clean is either EPA Safer Choice certified, Green Seal certified, or made from food-grade ingredients you could literally eat. No exceptions.

• Glass and surfaces: distilled white vinegar & water-based formulas — streak-free, no fumes.
• Degreasers: citrus-derived solvents (d-limonene from orange peels) — cuts grease, smells fresh.
• Disinfecting: hydrogen peroxide and thymol-based disinfectants — kill 99.9% of germs without bleach or quaternary ammonium.
• Bathrooms: oxygen-based scrub formulas — removes soap scum and hard-water without harsh acid.
• Floors: plant-based mop solutions safe for hardwood, tile, and laminate.
• Microfiber cloths are a key tool — they mechanically lift dirt without needing aggressive chemistry.

What we never use

• Chlorine bleach, ammonia, or anything that combines them.
• Quaternary ammonium compounds ("quats") — common in conventional disinfectants but linked to asthma.
• Phthalate-based fragrances or synthetic perfumes.
• Aerosol sprays.
• Triclosan, butoxyethanol, or formaldehyde-releasers.

Same scope, slight upcharge

The cleaning scope is identical to our regular service. There's a small upcharge that covers the cost of the higher-quality products. Many clients tell us within a month or two of switching, they notice the difference — fewer headaches, less coughing, calmer pets.
